Describe the parts and function of the male reproductive system
The male reproductive system includes the following:
1. Penis - it is the external male organ used in sexual intercourse. Semen which contains sperm are excreted at the end of the penis.
2. Scrotum-are like sacs that hang behind the penis. It contains the testes or testicles.
3. Testes- Are oval organ that lies in the scrotum. It is responsible for making testosterone, male hormone and for generating sperm.
4. Epididymis - Is a long tube that rest on the back of the testicles. It transport and sperm cells that are being produced in testes. The job of epididymis is to bring the sperm in its maturity stage.
5. Vas deferens - It transport the sperm to the urethra. It carries sperm and urine out of the body.
6. Urethra - It is a tude that carries the urine from the bladder then out of the body.
7. Seminal Vesicles - It produces sugar fluids called fructose that provides the sperm energy so that it can move.
8. Prostate Glands - It contributes fluids used for ejaculation. Also it nourishes the sperm with its prostate fluids.
